Can I change the name under which the hotel room is reserved?
Cancellation policies vary by hotel and room type. The person whose name the room is booked under originally will need to be present at time of check-in.
You can add another guest name to your hotel booking, but you can't change the name of the original guest to another guest's name. This is because our Hot Rate® Hotel bookings are final and cannot be cancelled, refunded, changed, exchanged, or transferred.
Hotels will require a credit card authorization to guarantee payment of any incidental charges that you may incur during the stay. The amount of available credit needed will vary by hotel, although some hotels allow a cash deposit to secure any incidentals.
