What is the minimum age for renting a car on Hotwire?
Generally, the minimum age for drivers to book a rental car is 25 years of age. In a few cases, some of the rental car locations may accept drivers who are between 21-24 years of age, typically with a surcharge. Enter the details of the trip and we'll tell you if we can fulfill your request during checkout. If you are unable to find a rental, you can also try our sister site: CarRentals.com.
Note, the driver’s age will be verified at the rental counter. Any drivers added to the rental contract (for an additional fee) must have a valid driver’s license and a credit card in their name. See also: Will I need a credit card as a deposit at the car rental counter?
